Donald Ray Walker, a resident of Troy, Ala., passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018, at his residence. He was 62. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Skeen Funeral Home with Minister Jimmy Helms officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Donald was a resident of Bruce St. Apartments for 20 years. He was the youngest resident of Bruce Street Apartments at the time he moved in. He was preceded in death by a newborn baby girl; his father, Walter K. Walker; a brother, Walter K. Walker, Jr.; and his grandparents, L.J. and Annie M. Mitchell. He is survived by his mother, Betty “Teannie” Walker, of Troy; daughter, Natasha Walker and her two children, all of Calif.; two brothers, Wendell Walker (Louise), of Malvern, Alaska. and Ronnie D. Walker, of Ozark, Ala.; special brother, Tony Daugherty, Bruce St., Troy, Ala.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
