The Pike County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in solving a theft that occurred off U.S. Highway 29 in recent weeks, and they are offering a cash reward for information.

Chief Deputy Buck Williams said the department is investigating the theft of a $13,000 ATV from a barn located near the highway sometime between March 28 and April 2.

“It was parked under a barn and whoever stole it appears to have cut through the back fence, probably so they wouldn’t be seen,” Williams said. Tracks were also found where the ATV was loaded.

The vehicle is described as a black 2016 Kawasaki Mule with gray lettering. Williams said the department has little other information to work with at this point.

Williams said he didn’t have an exact amount for the cash reward, only that there would be one. The reward is for information leading to an arrest or the recovery of property, Williams said.
