Troy University’s Concert Chorale presents its spring concert April 15 at 3 p.m. at Bush Baptist Church.

This concert, which is free and open to the public, marks the group’s last performance before its May trip to Carnegie Hall.

“The pieces I have programmed for this concert celebrate the passing of the hours of the day,” said Dr. Diane Orlofsky, conductor of the Concert Chorale. “There are selections that center around the wonder of morning, the beauty of the journey through the day, and the serenity and peace of evening.”

The performance features guest artists Dr. Katerina Juraskova (cello) and Dr. James Seay (baritone), student soloists and instrumentalists, and undergraduate conductor Madison Smith.

Juraskova will also provide a 10-minute instrumental prelude prior to the start of the concert.

“As we fill the Bush sanctuary with beautiful, meaningful choral music, we hope that the audience will leave grateful for life, beauty, love and the artistic expression of these talented, young musicians,” Orlofsky said.
