Trojans forward Jordon Varnado has declared for the 2018 NBA draft.
After averaging 18 points per game as a junior, Varnado announced his decision to explore his options on Twitter.
“I would like to start off by thanking God for allowing me to be in this situation that I am in,” Varnado said on Twitter. “After many prayers and talking to my family and coaches I’ve decided to put my name in the 2018 NBA Draft.”
Varnado also said that he will not hire an agent for the process. Not hiring an agent will allow Varnado to keep his eligibility at Troy.
Along with his 18 points per game, Varnado averaged seven rebounds per game this season, good enough for second on the team behind Alex Hicks. The junior led the team in scoring average and was second in overall scoring behind Wesley Person with 467 points.
As a sophomore, Varnado led the Trojans in points and rebounds per game with 16.5 and 7.1 respectively.
The 2018 NBA Draft will be on June 21 and can be seen on ESPN.
