Trojans take on rival Enterprise

The Charles Henderson Middle School baseball team fell to rival Enterprise 3-1 on Monday afternoon in Troy.

No runs were scored in the opening three innings. In the final two, a combined four runs were scored with the Trojans coming out on the losing end.

Brady Huner got the start for the Trojans. Huner pitched 4.2 innings on Monday. He allowed three total runs, two of them earned. He allowed three hits and three walks and struck out five.

The Trojans finished with just two hits in the loss. Daryl Lee and Will Templain picked up the two hits for the Trojans.

Runs were at a premium for much of the game. The Wildcats scored the game’s first run in the fourth inning. The Trojans immediately responded with a run of their own in the bottom of the inning when Templain came around to score on a passed ball.

The Wildcats responded with two more runs in the fifth. The runs reached base on a walk and a hit batter.

The Trojans had two players reach in the fifth when Lee doubled and Templain reached on a walk, but neither came around to score.

The Trojans followed up game one’s loss with a 14-2 loss to the Wildcats in game two. The Wildcats scored seven runs in the third inning to take a comfortable 8-3 lead. The Trojans finished with two hits by Daryl Lee and Damien Hart.
