Dr. Henry Rotan Stewart Jr., 74, of Troy died Thursday, February 1, 2018, at his home. Dr. Stewart was retired from Troy State University. While working, he was the Dean of Libraries for Troy University and an avid fan of Troy University athletics. He was also a faithful member of the Troy Rotary Club.

A memorial service for Dr. Stewart will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Arnold officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Margaret Stewart of Troy; daughter, Beth Stewart of Jacksonville, Florida; grandson, JB Wright of Jacksonville; his brother, William (Donna) Stewart of Newark, Delaware; niece, Amber (Michael) D’Andrea and nephew, William (Jen) Stewart; three great-nephews and a great-niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry R. Stewart Sr. and Elizabeth Phillips Stewart.
