A vehicle crash at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, has claimed the life of a Brundidge man. Eddie Davis Copeland, 60, was killed after being struck by a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Fred Reynolds Hudley, 87, of Brundidge.

Copeland was attempting to cross the highway when he was struck.  Hudley and his passenger were not injured. The crash occurred on U.S. 231 near the 173.5 mile marker in Pike County.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
