A Troy man was killed Friday when his 1997 Pontiac Sunfire collided with a 2012 Mack truck on U.S. Highway 231.

State Trooper Justin Vann said Martin Reyes, 29, of Troy, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, which occurred near mile-marker 62 south of Troy at approximately 6 a.m.

The driver of the Mack truck, Meredith Douglas Street Jr., 59, of Alabaster, was not injured.

Nothing further is available as State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
