Trojans defeat Milligan

The Troy Trojans knocked off Milligan 80-67 at the Dothan Civic Center on Thursday evening.

Thursday’s game marked the end of Troy’s non-conference schedule. The Trojans begin conference play with a 6-7 record.

Senior Wesley Person led all scorers in the game with 23 points on 5 of 16 shooting and he converted on three of his 10 three-point attempts. It was the eighth straight game that Person has scored at least 20 points.

Juan Davis and B.J. Miller both finished with 13 points, while Javan Johnson had 11.

The Trojans took a 46-30 lead into halftime on Thursday. Their largest lead of the game came at the 3:04 mark of the second half when they led the Buffalos by 23.

The Buffalo’s outscored the Trojans in the second half 37-34. The Trojans went on a scoreless drought that lasted about seven minutes. The Trojans never trailed in the contest.

The Trojans will be back in action next Friday when they began conference play at home against Georgia Southern.
