The Pike Patriots rolled to a comfortable 65-55 win over Abbeville on Thursday evening.

Abbeville scored 24 fourth quarter points, but still couldn’t climb all the way back in the loss to the Patriots.

The Patriots had two players finish in double figures. Max Copeland led the way with 18 points. Ethan Green had 17 points, 10 of which came in the third quarter. Overall the Patriots had nine players get on the score sheet. Jevon Christian finished with nine points, while Cole Mcwhorter had eight and Jaquavian Johnson had six.

The Patriots led at the half 34-18. The Patriots scored 20 more points in the third before scoring 14 in the fourth.

The Lady Patriots scored just 17 points in a 51-17 loss the Abbeville Christian on Thursday. Shelby Renfroe led the way for the Patriots with seven points, while Haleigh Dewberry finished with five.

The Patriots will be back in action on Saturday when they continue play in the Abbeville Tournament.
