Doris Phillips Jennings, 90, of Troy, died Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Troy Regional Medical Center.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.  A private family service will be held at a later time.

She is survived by her husband, James Edward “Ed” Jennings, Sr.; daughter, Carol Jennings Spurlock (Jerry); granddaughters Carrie Lee Spurlock Gardner (Scott), Amy Spurlock Smith (Bryant), Katie Jennings Shurett (Will), Jill Jennings Davis (Ben), and Betsey Jennings; great-grandchildren Tate Gardner, Meg Gardner, Sam Smith, Jay Shurett, and Drew Shurett; brother, Robert Phillips (Dot); daughter-in-law, Beth Jennings Whitson (Bob); and special friends Ruby Shipman and Deborah Huggins Davis (Paul).

She was preceded in death by her son, James Edward “Eddie” Jennings, Jr. and her parents, Shelah Phillips and Mattie Erie Morgan Phillips.

The family will be accepting flowers or donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church memorial fund.
