Beverly Smith Floyd, age 73, of Troy, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at her home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Reverend Bo Weed officiating.  Interment will follow in Sandfield Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

She is survived by her husband, Nelson Floyd; daughters, Denise Cancel (Marc) and Jenny Floyd Carswell; brother, Tony Smith (Ann); grandson, Justin Richburg (Kim); granddaughter, Kaitlyn Carswell; and numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Collins Davenport; brother, Terry Smith; uncle, Fred Collins; aunt, Mary V. Collins; uncle, Homer Collins; uncle, Grover Collins; aunt, Mildred Collins; and aunt, Belma Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Justin Richburg, Tony Smith, Marc Cancel, Bryant Smith, Anthony Smith, and Jason Burgess.

The family will be accepting flowers or donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1893, Memphis, TN, 38101-9950.
