Mcrae also added a rushing touchdown to his night. Peavy scored a second touchdown, this time via a 73 yard punt return.

The final touchdown of the game was scored on a 17 yard jaunt by running back Mike Mowry.

The Purple Cat defense was stingy, stopping the ball carrier behind the line six times on the night. Linebacker Landon Thrash had two tackles for loss and a sack. Thrash was active on offense as well, rushing for 35 yards on nine carries.

“I thought we came out and did what we were supposed to do,” Ariton head coach Steven Kilcrease said following the game. “I’m looking forward to next week and the playoffs.”

Ariton will begin postseason play next Friday at home against a team still to be announced.
