Charles Tracey Sheets, age 47, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at home in Evansville, Indiana. Tracey was born on March 6, 1970 in Troy, Alabama, to Charles Junior and Alene (Bundy) Sheets. Tracey attended Zion Chapel High School and graduated in 1988. On July 2, 1990, he married Julie Ann Chamberlain in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Together they had two children.

Tracey lived his life through the pursuit of simple pleasures. He found joy and solace in striking up conversations with strangers, friends, and family, coming to the aid of those around him and spending time with his numerous friends. When described by others, his kindness and hard work stand out the most. The quality of his work was exemplified at each of his jobs. Throughout his life he held several occupations including service technician and OTR vehicle operator and ended his career by exemplifying hospitality as a maintenance supervisor at Tropicana, Evansville. While maintaining his work, he also found time to coach both his children in soccer and baseball.

Tracey is survived by his son, Spencer Trajan Sheets, and his daughter, Summer Nicole Sheets, both of Evansville, Indiana. He is also survived by his parents, Charles Junior Sheets and Alene (Bundy) Sheets of Troy, Alabama; his sister, Anne (Andy) Hamm of Banks Alabama; his brother, Jimmy Sheets of Troy, Alabama; his niece, Nikki Hussey (Brian) Stephens of Elba, Alabama; his nephew, Nathan Hussey of Troy, Alabama and his former spouse, Julie Ann (Chamberlain) Sheets of Evansville, Indiana.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Dillard Funeral Home, 206 US Highway 231 North, Troy, Alabama. Pastor Jimmy Eddins will officiate. The burial will follow at Center Ridge Cemetery in Troy.
