John E. Key

John E. (Johnny) Key, age 68 of Goshen, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 7, 2017 surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness.  Johnny was an avid and true Alabama Crimson Tide fan, loved golf and has always been known for his athletic abilities. He was a member of the 1966 Goshen High School state championship team and also made all-state that year. After high school, Johnny enrolled in the United States Air Force and later joined the Alabama Air National Guard for 38 years of total service to his beloved country.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 2 p.m.  in the Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Don Yancey officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Survivors include wife of 49 years, Julane Key of Goshen; son, Klinton Jace Key of Woodstock, Ga.; daughter , Jenna Lane Key of Birmingham; and sister and brother- in- law, Glenda Key and Don Yancey of Luverne. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey Glen Key and Pearl Lusk Key and his brothers, Glen Key, Stephen Key and Larry Walker.
