After a five set win over Abbeville on Monday afternoon, the weary Pike County Lady Bulldogs volleyball team earned a split over Elba and Zion Chapel on Tuesday night.

In match one against the Elba Tigers, the Bulldogs pulled out a win in three games 25-12, 23-25, 15-8. In the second match against Zion Chapel, the Rebels got the better of the Bulldogs winning in straight games 23-25, 17-25.

“We knew that we were leg weary,” said head coach Todd Reynolds. “That was the one difference in the game. We didn’t have enough lift in a lot of our shots. That’s what it came down to. Zion Chapel is a good team. They had an aggressive strategy.”
