Police release name of man found dead Saturday

The Troy Police Department has released the name  of a 19-year-old man found dead on Saturday.

Troy Police Chief Randall Barr said Zachary Taylor Grantham was found deceased in a residence in the 300 block of Oakleigh Drive at approximately 4:45 a.m. Saturday and police were notified.

The autopsy has been completed, Barr said, but no cause of death has yet been released.

There were no obvious physical signs of foul play, Barr said.

Grantham was enrolled at Troy University in the fall of 2016.

The case remains under investigation by the Troy Police Department with assistance from the Pike County Coroner’s Office, the Pike County District Attorney’s Office and the Alabama Department of Forensic Science.
