The Pike County Sheriff’s Office arrested two of five escapees from the Barbour County Jail Sunday when sheriff’s deputies observed a vehicle that was believed to be used in the escape.

Sheriff Russell Thomas said the deputies conducted a traffic stop Sunday afternoon and confirmed that the two men in the vehicle were indeed two of the escaped convicts.

With the help of the Troy Police Department, the sheriff’s office was able to arrest the two men, Stephon Galloway and Jabori Henderson.

Onee of the convicts had already turned himself in and the remaining two were found in Eufala Monday, where one turned himself in and the other was stopped by police.

The arrests occurred without incident despite warnings that the men could be armed and dangerous.
