Stough joins staff at SAEC

South Alabama Electric Cooperative is pleased to announce Elizabeth Williford Stough has joined the cooperative as Manager of Finance and Accounting. Stough will be responsible for all financial and accounting functions at the cooperative.

Stough comes to SAEC with eight years of experience, having served as a manager at Jackson Thornton and Company. Her expertise comes from years of auditing and consulting experience within electric, gas and water utilities.

“I’m very pleased that Elizabeth has joined South Alabama Electric,” David Bailey, general manager, said.  “She’s very familiar with the cooperative and its financial condition through her previous experience at Jackson Thornton. Her experience will be very valuable to us.”

Stough received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and her MBA from Troy University. She received her Certified Public Accountant designation in 2009. Stough is a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She currently resides in Montgomery with her husband Trent, and their son Logan.

South Alabama Electric Cooperative serves over 16,000 meters primarily in Pike, Coffee and Crenshaw Counties
