“Pike County’s Got Talent” and the Leadership Pike Class of 2017 has found a way to showcase it.

The Leadership Pike Class will sponsor “Pike County’s Got Talent” at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 8 at Cattleman Park.  Admission is free but donations will be gladly accepted and deeply appreciated.

“The Leadership Pike Class is a Pike County Chamber of Commerce program and each year the class is challenged to raise funds for the Pike Leadership Scholarship Program.

One thousand dollar scholarships are awarded at each of the high schools in the county – Charles Henderson, Goshen, Pike County and Pike Liberal Arts, said Rebecca Blankenship, Pike Leadership Class member. 

“This year, our class decided to have a countywide talent show. It’s going to be a lot of fun and we are looking forward to showcasing Pike County’s talent,” Blankenship said.

Pike Countains with talents from music to magic will compete for the three top places in “Pike County’s Got Talent.”

There is no age limit on talent. No one is too old or too young and the stage is set for “Pike County’s Got Talent.”

The entry fees are $15 for individuals, $25 for groups of four or less and $50 for groups of five or more.

“Pike County’s Got Talent” is a good way for businesses or groups to gain exposure in the community by entering the talent show or sponsoring an entry.

It’s an excellent public relations event, Blankenship said. 

Pike Countians are encouraged to show off their talents and, in so doing, support the Leadership Pike Class’ scholarship program.

Entry forms are available at the Pike County Chamber Office, 101A East Church Street in Troy. All entry forms must be hand delivered. The deadline for entry is March 31.
