Reward offered in murder case

The Troy Police Department has charged a woman with capital murder in connection with the death of a man whose body was found at a residence in the 100 block of Daisy Court Monday.

The department secured a warrant for the arrest of Alexis Shantell Boswell on charges of capital murder relating to the death of 65-year-old Bernard Farrior.

Farrior’s body was found at approximately 11 a.m. Monday morning and police immediately launched a death investigation, which was ultimately upgraded into a capital murder investigation on Tuesday.

Troy Police Chief Randall Barr said Boswell’s whereabouts are unknown at this time and the department is asking for the public’s help in finding her.

Boswell is 25 years old, approximately 5-foot 7-inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds.

Central Alabama CrimeStoppers has offered a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of Boswell.

This case remains under investigation by the Troy Police Department with assistance from the Pike County District Attorney’s Office, The Pike County

Coroner’s Office and the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
