Charles Henderson High School’s Future Business Leaders of America hosted a “Caring for Our Community” Event for FBLA Week. This event took place Monday, February 6, through Friday, February 10,. Their goal was to give back to the community as much as they could. On Day 1, students made cards for patients of Hospice Compassus. Special thanks goes out to Cortnee Pugh for working with CHHS FBLA on this project. On Day 2, the goal was for students to donate items for the clothing closet at Pike Regional Child Advocacy Center. FBLA is grateful to Kaley Green on helping them coordinate this project. On Day 3, students donated items to create care baskets for patients at the SARHA clinic. Thanks to Kady Pugh for helping them with this task. On Day 4, FBLA Students and their advisor cooked a free home-cooked meal for any college student at the Wesley Foundation. Great appreciation goes out to everyone who helped with this event. On the last day, students made Valentine’s Day Cards for the residents of Troy Health and Rehab. Thanks goes out to Jeanette Dawkins for allowing them to always be a part of these precious people’s life. As FBLA Week came to a close, FBLA members delivered all items. Each business was happy to accept the gifts FBLA had provided. CHHS FBLA would like to encourage you to find a need and give back to your community as much as you can.
