The Pike County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Pike County man on Sunday on three drug charges stemming from a simple traffic stop.

The Sheriff’s office stopped Gary Junior Hughes, 51, on Sunday for a switched license plate before finding drugs and drug paraphanelia in the vehicle according to Sgt. Kevin Childs with the Sheriff’s Office.

Childs said a 23-year-old female, Jessica Dease, admitted to having drug paraphenalia during the stop, which led the deputies to search the vehicle and find marijuana and several pieces of drug paraphenalia.
