Susan Peyer Weed, 71, of Banks, Al died Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Jackson Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, January 3, 2016 at Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy with the Reverend Kenneth Baggett officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 am at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, Al.

Mrs. Weed is survived by her son, William “Butch” Phelps (Joni); granddaughter, Maggie Phelps; siblings; Herbert Peyer (Karen) and David Peyer (Elsa Smith).

Mrs. Weed was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert F. Peyer and Frances Peyer Long, step-father, Emory Long, and her husband, Walter Weed, and step-brother, Larry Long.
