Mr. Tommy George Floyd, 86, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 9, 2016, at 11 A.M., at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Hines officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery at 2 P.M. with Chapman Funeral Home of Eufaula directing.  Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 A.M. at the funeral home.  Music will be provided by Mitch and Kyle Gissendaner.

Born September 22, 1930 in Pike County, Alabama, Mr. Floyd was the son of the late T. G. and Nessie Alene McLeod Floyd.  Mr. Floyd was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was a member of the Eufaula Bass Club.  He retired from the State of Alabama Unemployment Office as Manager.  He was a fishing guide on Lake Eufaula.  Mr. Floyd was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Carol Floyd of Eufaula, Alabama; his children: Lynn (Frank) Gissendaner of Eufaula, Alabama, Tom (Jane) Floyd of Eufaula, Alabama, Amy Floyd of Montgomery, Alabama; 5 grandchildren: Mitch (Shannon) Gissendaner, Brandon (Betty) Floyd, Tommy (Nikki) Floyd IV, Kyle Gissendaner, Britni Floyd; 3 great grandchildren: Andrew Floyd, Aeris Floyd, Phoebe Floyd.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Voake, Tim Brannon, Tommy Knowles, Timmy Slater, Shaun Casey, Scott Webb, Tom Byrne and Ladon White.
