William C. Rozelle Jr., “Bill”, age 79 of Dickinson, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 29, 2016.  Bill was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to William C. Rozelle Sr. and Francis Enzor Hilla on September 27, 1937.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and cousins; Lane Gilchrist of Florida and David Gilchrist of Alabama.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Marcia Rozelle, whom he married March 23, 1991; daughter Amber Jinkins of Galveston, TX; son A J “Trey” Jinkins III and wife Laura Swan Jinkins of Jones Creek, TX; grandsons Nathan Thompson and Kenan Ibanez; granddaughters Haley Thompson and Jami Jinkins; great-grandson Carson Thompson; cousins Joe Gilchrist, John Walters and wife Bobbie Walters, and Mary K. Tatum.

Throughout his life, Bill found joy in his many accomplishments including running marathons such as the Boston, New York City, and Houston Marathons as well as many other area races. For many years Bill was a member of the Houston Al Lawrence running club where he fostered many cherished friendships.                

He also enjoyed riding on his Honda Goldwing, skiing on Big Mountain in Montana, and other various outdoor activities.  Bill spent his last twelve years devoted to his Australian Kelpie, Aussie, who was “the best dog in the whole world.”  Bill was involved in many organizations including the Whitehall Club of Houston, a business association he joined in 1968, Houston Area Realtors, Houston Automobiles Dealers Association, and was a licensed Commercial Real Estate Broker since 1969.

Bill was a member of Evangelistic Temple in Houston, TX for fifteen years and Gulf Coast Foursquare Church in Hitchcock, TX for the past twenty-five years where he served as a bible teacher along with several other ministries within the church such as jail ministry and various outreach programs.       

Pallbearers are Nathan Thompson, Richard Gordon, Kenen Ibanez, Rufus Hernandez, Herman Flores, and Dennis Hand.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Gulf Coast Foursquare Church located at 6205 Delaney Road in Hitchcock, Texas with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gulf Coast Foursquare Church to benefit their Missions Program.
