Fannie “Merle” Littlefield Walker, age 91, of Troy, Alabama, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016, at Troy Health and Rehab. A private family graveside was held Sunday, September 18, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Perry Green officiating and Green Hills Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Walker was born July 22, 1925, in Barbour County, Alabama, to the late John Littlefield and Nora Elizabeth McNight Littlefield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Jack Walker; two sisters, Lola Lippelman and Ruby Brown; 10 brothers, Harvey, Huey, Henry C., Jack, Sam, Ralph, J.R., Demp, and Don Littlefield. She is survived by her son, Thomas (Eileen) Walker of Troy; two grandchildren, Kristi (Herman)Daniel of Abberfoil, AL, and Brent (Heather) Walker of Troy; four great-grandchildren, Cassidy (Bert) Stearns of Raleigh, NC, Griffin and Grace Cooper of Troy, and Emma Carter Daniel of Abberfoil, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
