Ida Verlon Dansby Dorrill, age 85, a resident of Brundidge, died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 3:30pm in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge with Rev. Ed Shirley officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge directing. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 2:00pmuntil the time of service at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge.

Pallbearers will be Jessie Dorrill, Joe Dorrill, William Dorrill, Danny Hanson, Chris Dansby, and Don Campbell. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Brundidge Rescue Squad.

She is survived by 2 sons: Jessie Dorrill (Edna) of Brundidge, and Joseph A. Dorrill (Mimi) of Ramer. 1 daughter: Syble A. Nolin (Mike) of Enterprise. 4 grandchildren: Jason Dorrill (Lauri) of Brundidge, Shelley Parks (Jim) of Clio, Joseph Sable Dorrill of CA., and Mandy Nolin of Enterprise. 7 great grandchildren. 2 brothers: Murray Dansby (Louise) of Troy, and Rex Dansby (Frances) of Lake Charles, LA. 2 sisters: Erma Blair of Troy, and Nell Hanson of Troy. Several nieces, nephews, and other close relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Dan and Mollie Dansby, husband: Sable Dorrill, 4 brothers: Travis, Dan Jr, Veron, and Ralph Dansby, and 1 sister: Mary Kate Moore.
