RICHBURG, Mrs. Virginia King, 92, a resident of Goshen, Alabama, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, April 24, from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Glover and Rev. Buck Hudgens officiating. Interment will follow in Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Richburg was born February 24, 1924 to Georgia Walter and Mary Brunson King. She was a lifelong resident of Crenshaw County, and retired from Regions Banks in Troy. She was a member of the Goshen United Methodist Church, UDC, and DAR. Mrs. Richburg was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Milton Richburg, her parents, sisters, Alice McLeod and Lois Osborne, and brothers, J.D. and Raphael King. She is survived by 3 daughters, Rita (Frank) Moore of Daleville, Charlotte (Bob) Hamm of Collierville, TN, and Martha (Shawn) Farneman of Muscle Shoals, 2 sons, Mahlon (Mary) of Auburn and David (Brenda) Richburg of Luverne, 9 grandchildren, Michelle (Heath) Campbell of Madison, Katie Richburg of Montgomery, Dr. James (Kelly) Moore of Opelika, George M. (Darcey) Richburg of Auburn, Chris (Emily) Hamm of Austin, TX, Dr. Courtney (Sean) Meredith of Biloxi, MS, Joshua (Lisa) Farneman of Franklin, TN, Dr. Heather (Cameron) Gill of Mobile, and Joy (Toby) Moreland of Pace, FL, 11 great-grandchildren, Lauren, Madison, and Heather Campbell of Madison, Barrett and Whit Moore of Opelika, Brooks Meredith of Biloxi, MS, Elijah, Zoe, and Naomi Hamm of Austin, TX, Lydia Moreland of Pace, FL, and Reagan Gill of Mobile, brother, Barnett (Edna) King of Luverne, sisters-in-law, Etta Lou King, Voncile Nichols, Merle Richburg of Luverne, and Ina (James) Fuller of Montgomery, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to Goshen United Methodist Church in Goshen, AL, or the charity of your choice. They will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:30 until service time.
