Mrs. Ann Carroll Ballenger, 69, of Eufaula, Alabama, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at 2 P.M. at St. James Episcopal Church. Rev. Drake Whitelaw is officiating and burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery in Troy, Alabama at 4 P.M. with Chapman Funeral Home of Eufaula directing.

Born February 4, 1947 in Troy, Alabama, Mrs. Ballenger was the daughter of Sarah Talbot Lawrence of Eufaula, Alabama and the late Reuben Ozier Lawrence. Mrs. Ballenger was preceded in death by her husband Thomas E. “Tom” Ballenger. She was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines for 28 years. She was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority at Troy University. She spent the summer term at the University of Madrid in Spain. She was a member of the Pierion Club. She supported the Shorter Mansion, the Eufaula Heritage Association and the Eufaula Human Society. She was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church.

Survivors other than her mother include her brother: James Talbot (Kathleen) Lawrence of Birmingham, Alabama.

Active pallbearers were Ed Garrison, Richard Ridle, Paul Voors, Derek Thomas, Scott McCathran, Ben Garrison, Burt Brown, Mike Amos, K.T. Cole, Chris Schubert, Buck Corley, Sonny Williford.
