Roads were the main topic of discussion at Tuesday night’s Goshen Council meeting. Work was completed on Eagle Circle and a project on Taylor Street began.

Mayor Jack Waller said Eagle Street had to be patched in three places where tree roots had broken through the asphalt.

“We had to put in about six inches of concrete and smooth it out,” he said.

Taylor Street, a dirt road with one home on it, will be paved this week at a cost of about $15,000.

“There’s only one house on it, but the guy is in a wheelchair and asked if we could pave it,” said Waller.

The resident had fallen more than once while trying to use his wheelchair on the road.

Little Miss Goshen and Miss Goshen were awarded $250 each. The council has awarded annual winners for the last five years.

Goshen Council meets on the third Tuesday of the month in Goshen Town Hall at 6 p.m.
