BOA OKs variances

The City of Troy Board of Adjustment approved two variances at its monthly meeting on Thursday night.
The first variance allowed a chain link fence at a business owned by Charles Jordan. Request for special exception to allow a chain link fence in the required front y ard at 410 Trojan Way located in the C4: Highway Commercial Zoning District.
Jordan said the fence was for security purposes and to maintain a tidy and uniform appearance.
The second case, brought forth by David Nelson, was a side yard setback variance to allow the continued construction of a single family dwelling at 108 Palos Verdes located in the RR: Reserved Residential Zoning District. “The house was built within the neighborhood wide variance of 15 feet, while the city’s is 20 feet,” Neslon said.
