Who doesn’t enjoy a little good-natured fun?

That’s just what you’ll find this weekend at the annual Colley Senior Complex Mardi Gras Gala.

And, more important, all that fun benefits a worthy cause.

The gala is the primary fundraising vehicle for the foundation that oversees the Colley Senior Complex. In addition to plenty of atmosphere, the gala will feature a first-rate band – First Generation of Atlanta – with plenty of dancing, bountious Cajun food and an impressive auction, that includes everything from Costa Rican vacations to sports memorabilia and works by local artists.

All proceeds benefit the programs of the Colley Complex, which is a hub of activity and cultural development in Troy. The complex offers a variety of learning opportunities, from watercolor and pottery classes to foreign language classes to computer classes. Moreover, residents who take advantage of the complex’s programs enjoy line dancing, road trips, concerts, health fairs, and social events throughout the year.

Many of the activities are offered for only a nomial fee, thanks to generosity of the community which supports the complex through this gala.

So put on your best purple and gold beads, grab a mask if you have it and head to the Cattleman’s Complex this Saturday night for a good time and a good cause.
