WKU wins coin toss and defers. Troy receives opening kickoff defending south end zone.

11:44 – Troy started opening drive at own 10-yard line. Trojans moved quickly into WKU territory, but drives stalls. Will Scott’s 33-yard FG attempt is GOOD. TROY 3, WKU 0

9:26 – After Troy recovered an Antonio Andrews fumble, Corey Robinson found Chip Reeves wide open for a 38-yard strike. Nice start by Troy. TROY 10, WKU 0

4:39 – Troy forces WKU to punt. Albert returns it 54 yards, but Will Scott misses 43-yard FG attempt. Troy looking pretty good in all area at this point. Tyler Roberts has be caught in man-to-man mismatch twice, but hasn’t cost Troy YET.

:58 – WKU takes ball from own 26-yard line and drives down in 8 plays. QB Kawaun Jakes finds TE Mitchell Henry behind Kanorris Davis for 20-yard score. TROY 10, WKU 7

8:02 – Troy drives 65 yards on 18 plays to score on a fake field goal. Jaquon Robinson shovels to D.J. Taylor for 1-yard score. The fake was the first for Troy since 1991 or 258 games.  The drive took 7:56 off the clock. TROY 17, WKU 7

:34 – WKU picks up big score on 9-yard connection from Kawaun Jakes to Jack Doyle. Hilltoppers also get ball in second half. Could be a big swing if they score out of the half.

** Corey Robinson got drilled by Bar’ee Boyd on the final play of the half. He looked dazed getting on the cart. His night is likely done.

** Robinson’s “above the shoulder injury” knocks his out of game.

11:08 – WKU moves the ball down the field very efficiently. Hilltoppers take the lead as WRs finding open space in Troy’s secondary. WKU 21, TROY 17

4:16 – Anthony comes out firing and finds Chip Reeves for 45-yard gain. Troy gets FG out of it as Scott is good from 22 yards. WKU 21, TROY 20

1:32 – Again, WKU having little trouble moving the football and getting help from field judge. WKU 28, TROY 20

:04 – Anthony goes deep again, this time to Eric Thomas for 47 yards. Western Kentucky corner Jonathan Dowling went for pick and came up empty. Thomas bobbled ball final five yards to end zone before finally gaining possession. WKU 28, TROY 26

6:06 – Troy fails to convert a 4th and 2 from its own 42. Trojans trail 28-26.
