It’s not easy finding ways to combine family time with being outdoors, but places like the Rose Hill War Zone are making it a little bit easier.

Located in Dozier, Ala., Rose Hill is a paintball and airsoft field that offers a wide range of activities and courses, along with special discounts for members of the armed forces.

Started in 2011, Rose Hill currently has four full courses for paintball with different themes and construction.

Dodge City and Wild West bring in an old school feel while Skid Row and Tire Course use recycled materials to create cover and obstacles.

There are also plans for two new courses called Junkyard and Baghdad, which continue the locations effort to provide variety to customers.

Alcohol and tobacco free, Rose Hill was designed to give young people a chance to have fun in their free time, but now sees visits from people of all ages.

In order to make sure that every match is fair and safe, the management of Rose Hill has implemented strict safety guidelines regarding face protection, what kind of equipment is allowed and what kind of shooting qualifies as fair.

The staff is also concerned with customer satisfaction, and makes sure that all paintball competitors get pointers on strategy and are feeling welcome during their stay.

Aside form offering the paintball and airsoft courses Rose Hill is also a licensed seller of Umarex, Tippmann, and Nelson paintballs and equipment so that interested customers can get their own equipment and even a primitive camping site for overnight stays.

For those who wish to hold events at Rose Hill, the facility is open to parties, graduations, reunions and even bachelor parties and the staff is sure to take photos and video which can be made available to Facebook or DVD is requested.

Above all though, Rose Hill makes sure that members of the armed forces are shown gratitude and the facility offers military discounts and waivers for those with a deployed or deceased military family member.

Rose Hill is designed to provide a safe and fun environment for friends and family to spend time together, have friendly competitions and get outside and are always looking for ways to improve their facility.

Currently, the facility is only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with weekdays open for bookings, but is working on having lighting installed to open up nights for paintball and airsoft activity.
