Detectives continue to follow up on leads as they search for a burglar who sexually assaulted a Troy University student in her Hunters Mountain home Monday afternoon.

Due to the investigation and sensitive nature of the case, the Troy Police Department said they are keeping details out of the media.

The victim was assaulted about 3:30 p.m. Monday. She told police her attacker was a black man between 40 and 50 years old. She described him as about 6 feet tall with a low haircut, weighing about 250 pounds. The man was wearing a black or dark blue shirt and loose-fitting black or blue jeans.
