Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wayne Mitchell of Troy are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Blakely Barron Mitchell, to Nathan Bryant Ellis, nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Blalock of Abbeville and the son of the late Maxine Bryant Ellis of Shorterville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mayretta Strother of Brundidge and the late Joseph Barron Strother and Brunese Mitchell of Troy and the late John Melvin Mitchell.

Blakely is a 2004 graduate of Pike Liberal Arts School and a 2008 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders. She will graduate in May as a Doctor of Audiology.

She was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She will be employed by Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bryant of Shorterville.

Nathan is a 2004 graduate of Abbeville Christian Academy and a 2010 graduate of Troy University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is employed by P&S Transportation in Birmingham.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 2, 2012, at 5 p.m. at Park Memorial United Methodist Church in Troy.
