The Troy City Planning Commission met Tuesday with only one item of old business on the agenda.

A decision concerning preliminary plat approval for the Grace Road Subdivision was put on hold at the last commission meeting in hopes that residents who live near the proposed subdivision could meet with Robert Floyd, who was seeking approval.

At Tuesday’s meeting, there wasn’t much discussion.

“The major change is we increased the lot size,” said Buck Watkins with Watkins Consulting Engineering. “It basically brings everything to a half acre.”

While road construction, lot size and water issues were brought up at the earlier meeting regarding the subdivision, no one present raised any vocal objection at this week’s meeting.

“I do appreciate y’all getting together with Mr. Floyd,” said Bill Hopper, commission chairman. “(The plan) does comply with all the legal aspects of an R&R subdivision.”

The commission also elected officers for this year. Bill Hopper will remain chairman, W. Earl Griswold will keep his position as vice chairman and Melissa Sanders will continue as acting secretary for the commission.
