Margaret Sikes

Margaret A. Barr Sikes, age 68, of Troy, died at her home Friday, Dec. 30, 2011. Funeral services for Mrs. Sikes were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2012, from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Dr. Mallone Chandler officiating. Visitation was held at the funeral home two hours prior to the service.

Mrs. Sikes was a member of Cathedral of Praise Church and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Nettie Barr; one son, Terry Sikes; and two grandsons, Matthew Trawick and Timmy Walker.

She is survived by her husband, William Wade Sikes; seven sons, Tony Register (Carolyn), Charles Register (Brenda), Freddie Bradley, Phillip Bradley (Cora), Eugene Kilpatrick (Patricia), Ronnie Bradley, and Shannon Sikes; three daughters, Linda Whitt (William), Norma Turner (Mark), Jennifer Sikes; one sister, Barbara Moses (Jack); 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

Serving as pall bearers for Mrs. Sikes will be Anthony Register, Chris Register, Anthony Kilpatrick, Brian Kilpatrick, Blake Turner and Mason Owens. Honorary pall bearers will be Mitchell Trawick, Todd Bradley, Kyle and Cameron Boykin and Koby Richardson.
