Lawmen made arrests in four separate incidents in Troy on Monday

Officers executed a search warrant about 9 a.m. at an apartment on the 100 block of Park Street in connection with drug-related activity, according to information provided by Troy Police Chief Jimmy Ennis.

Officers arrested Emmanuel James Dubose, 22, for possession of a controlled substance in connection with the search warrant. Dubose is being held in the Pike County Jail on a $7,500 bond.

Later in the day, police were following up on a report of drug activity at an apartment complex on the 400 block of North Knox Street. Offices arrested an 18-year-old black male for receiving stolen property, third degree, about 1:15 p.m.. The “property” was a .22-caliber rifle that was reported stolen on Saturday from a location on Park Street. The suspect was placed in the Troy City Jail with a bond of $500.

Wal-mart in Troy was the target of thieves Monday afternoon. Police arrested John Wayne Sutton, 38, of Brundidge, for third-degree property theft. Sutton also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for probation violation in Covington County. Rebecca Allen, 53, of Brundidge, was with Sutton and also arrested for third-degree property theft and unlawful possession of marijuana, first degree. Sutton’s bond was set at $500 for theft of property and he will be transported back to Covington County. Allen’s bond was a total of $8,000 for both charges and she was sent to the Pike County Jail.

A domestic violence call wrapped up the eventful day for officers. At about 7:15 lawmen responded to the 800 block of U.S. Hwy. 231 and arrested Floyd Turner, 27, from Dothan. Turner and his sister were arguing about money when he struck her in the face with his fist and then cut her on the forehead with a box cutter. He fled the scene on foot, but officers apprehended him near Anna Street. Turner was charged with second-degree domestic violence and is in the Pike County Jail. His bond is set at $10,000.

All cases are being investigated by the Troy Police Department.
