Men’s Basketball at Belmont

Troy’s men’s basketball team will travel to Belmont on Thursday. The Trojans fell to the Bruins 98-63 last season. Everyone is looking healthy except for Steven Cunningham who is still out for 2-3 weeks (eye). Talked to Will “Mo” Weathers at practice yesterday and he said he watched a little of the Miss St. game and had to turn it off. Said they were just hitting every shot they took. He jokingly said “if they shoot like that every game, they’ll win the national championship.” I don’t think I would disagree.

Game time is set for 7 p.m. in Nashville at can be heard on WTBF 94.7

The Trojans (0-8) are looking for their first win as they travel to Montgomery to take on the Hornets on Thursday. Injuries have really hurt this team. I don’t think they were looking to have an outstanding season but probably could have won a couple of games if healthy. The team held a six point lead over American University mid-way through the second half but committed 16 turnovers to hand the Eagles a victory.

Leading scorer DeAngela Sword and guard Sarah McAppion (foot) don’t look like they will be 100% for some time.
