Nellie Ruth Williams

Nellie Ruth Williams was born July 9, 1938 to the James and Nellie Nobles. On Wednesday, November 30, 2011 Nellie was obedient to her Lord and Master; she answered the call that every soul must answer. She quietly and gently closed her eyes and said good-bye. Good-bye to pain, good-bye to worry, and hello to peace, joy and reward.

Services were held Monday, December 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Troy with Rev. Jason Thomas officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Grove Church Cemetery, under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home of Troy.

Leaving to cherish her memories are her loving and devoted children, Cheryl Williams, Deborah Williams, Renee Dickerson, Mary Dyer (Prentiss), Sylvia Williams, Stephanie Williams (Henry), Dawn Williams (Micheal), Sharon Johnson (William), Felicia Askew (Sedrick); sister, Margaret Wright; grandchildren, Turkessa Fuqua (Anthony), Rayfus Williams (Keisha), Ashley Pierre (Manach), Alexis Siler (Keno), Astin Williams, Brittany Wheeler (Micheal), Aubrey Williams, Ebony Williams, Kendra Williams, Barrett Williams, Brent Williams, Marissa Williams, Morgan Williams, Devin Davis, Brianna Askew, and Mia Dyer; great-grandchildren, Andre, Manach, Marcus, Danyelle, Amaya, Anthony, Jr., Aiden, Rayfus, Jr., Alexis, Kelis, Kendall and Koby; nieces and nephews, Darnella Magid, Laura Ann Wright, Mary M. Wright, Sue E. McNair, Josephine Wright, Diana Gittens (Wesley), Donald Wright, Willie James Wright, Walter James Wright, Thomas Wright (Bertha), Jerry Wright (Lavonda), and Sylvester Wright (Patricia).
