Robert H. ‘Bobby’ Sexton

Robert H. “Bobby” Sexton, age 69, of Goshen, died Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. Funeral services for Mr. Sexton will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Rev. Bo Weed officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Cemetery with Green Hills Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home.

Mr. Sexton attended Southside Baptist Church. He was retired from Warner Bros. as a set engineer and lived in California for more than 30 years. He enjoyed golfing; was a deep sea welder and a sports fan who loved Alabama football.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leamon R. Sexton; step-father, Fred Ellis; mother, Sallie Rebecca Gambina; sister, JoAnn Ressique; and nephew, Thomas Jesse Brown. He is survived by his wife, Deabron Sexton; sister, Carolyn Mathews (Ben); mother-in-law, Sara Knight; brother-in-law Paul Knight (JoAnna); sisters-in-law Sandra Wilkes (Steve), Patsy Scarbrough (Tommy); nephews Col. H. Ben Mathews, II, U.S.M.C. retired (Rebecca) of Haymarket, VA; Charles “Chuck” Howard, Jr. (Brandy) and Jeffrey Knight (Erikka); nieces, Jamye “Candy” Knight; Deanne Stephens (Todd) and Ginger Brown.

Pallbearers will be Jack Rainey, Jeffrey Knight, Chuck Howard, Johnny Prince, Keith Snyder and Clifford Carroll. Honorary pallbearers will be his golfing buddies at Troy Country Club and the Little Oak Coffee Club.
