A Troy man was being held on $75,000 bond after being arrested on felony robbery charges.

Aundreal McCullough, 27, was arrested Tuesday and was being held in the Pike County Jail. He’s charged in connection with a robbery that occurred Oct. 4 at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Park Street, police say.

“In this case, the victim had been visiting his godchild at the apartment complex and, as he was leaving, saw the suspect, who lived at the apartment complex,” said Sgt. Benny Scarbrough, public relations officer.

The two men began talking in McCullough’s apartment and during the course of the conversation, the robbery occurred, police said.

Scarbrough said a firearm was involved in the robbery, although no one was injured. The victim’s cell phone, wallet, currency and identification were reported stolen.

“There were more than one individuals involved in the robbery, according to the victim, and we’ve made the first arrest,” said Police Chief Jimmy Ennis. “We’re continuing to search for the others and anyone with any information about this crime is asked to contact the Troy Police (566-0500) or the Secret Witness line (566-5555).”
