John Henry Richards, age 65 of Brundidge died Monday, September 26, 2011 at Baptist East Hospital in Montgomery. Visitation was held Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 5-8 PM at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Olive Assembly of God with Reverend Ashley Faulk and Reverend Calvin Faircloth officiating. Burial followed in the Mount Olive Cemetery under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge.

Survivors include; wife, Shirley Richards of Brundidge; daughter and son-in-law, Sophia Danielle and Timothy Altomare of Alexandria, VA; son, Charles Stephen Richards of Brundidge; daughter-in-law, Kendra Richards and granddaughter, Adrienne Lynn Richards both of Troy; brother, Charles Monroe Richards of Jack; sisters, Evielean and Sally Howell of Pike Road, and Skeeter Outlaw and Linda Richards of Brundidge; mother-in-law, Minnie Ruth Crook of Opp; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Richards was preceded in death by, parents, Charles M. and Lamerle Richards, and son, John Bradley Richards. Pallbearers were Lee Outlaw, Ashley Jeffcoat, Frankie Howell, Brent Carroll, Larry Senn, and Jamieson Senn.
