Mamie Carswell, Age 82 of Troy, died, Sunday , September 25, 2011 in Montgomery. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Mack Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 5-7 at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Survivors include, Children, Ronnie and Margie Carswell of Elberta, Alabama, Barbara and Glen Harris of the Mt. Moriah community, Cheryl and Wayne Brady of the Sandfield community. Grandchildren, Toby Carswell, Michelle Harris, Amanda Hall, David Carswell, Daniel Carswell, Crystal Rushing, Chris Avery, Derrick Avery, Rachel Cox, Charlie Cox, and Paul Cox. 16 Great Grandchildren, her sisters, Martha Windham, Mary Mitchell, and Myrtle Weldon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lena Pearl McQuagge, Husband, William Carswell, Son, Luke Carswell, Brothers, Coleman McQuagge, Ben McQuagge, Sister, Joanne Moser. Serving as pallbearers will be; Paul Cox, Charlie Cox, Toby Carswell, David Carswell, Lucky Harris and Brad Hall. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Chris Avery, Derrick Avery, Daniel Carswell, Eric Rushing and Van Adams.
