He and his wife, Rhonda, founded Church on the Eastern Shore (COTES) 11 years ago with a small handful of people.

“COTES now has three church campuses in Fairhope, Thomasville and Gautier, Mississippi,” Price said. “The average total worship attendance is 1,700 to 1,800. COTES also has created a ministry center on our Fairhope campus called the Hope Center.

This ministry arm of the church includes medical, dental and counseling services for people who are uninsured or who are financially challenged. More than 100 people have been saved through the Hope Center in 2011 alone.”

COTES has been named as one of the fastest growing churches in America for two of the past four years by “Outreach” Magazine.

“COTES is a very mission-focused church with ongoing ministries and annual trips to Tanzania, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ukraine and Haiti and other points of mission involvement in the United States and abroad,” Price said.

Price is a native of Brundidge.

He graduated from Pike Liberal Arts School in 1986, from the University of Alabama in 1990 and from Beeson Divinity School at Samford University with a master’s degree in theology in 1994.

He and his wife have two daughters, Whitney, a senior at the University of Alabama, and Lindsay, a senior at Fairhope High School.
