The Charles Henderson High School baseball team will host their annual reunion dinner in the Stadium Tower of Veterans Memorial Stadium prior to kickoff of tonight’s CHHS-Booker T. Washington football game.

The event drew over 100 former players, coaches and parents last year sand head coach Derek Irons is looking forward to an even bigger showing this year.

“It’s a great opportunity to get everyone together and let our current members interact with players who were here before,” Irons said.

This is the second year for the event and Irons hopes it will continue to grow.

“Hopefully, word of mouth will get out and help let everyone know about it,” he said. “It’s great fellowship and good for the program.”

Irons cited the prestige and history of the program as a reason for holding the event and that all former Trojan baseball team members, coaches family members are invited to attend.

The event will take place on the fifth floor of the Stadium Tower at 6 p.m. just before kickoff of the CHHS football game. Dinner will be served and there is no cost to attend.

“I feel this will be a successful event because of the strong history of the program,” Irons said. “Everyone can come out and enjoy good food and fellowship and then a good football game.”

Access to the fifth floor is available by using the elevators inside the Stadium Tower.
