“We had an excellent showing and everyone had a good time,” said Sauer.

Sauer said money raised by the event will be used to support programs that are managed by the Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber board members volunteered to work the event and Sauer said she was very grateful.

“Our board members were very gracious with their time,” she said. “Troy Country Club was a great host, they could not have been any better to us.”

Sponsors for the event included Troy University, Army Aviation Federal Credit Union, Haynes Ambulance, Sikorsky, Gibson and Carden, LLC, AKD Printing, Regions Bank, Meeks Termite, Landmark Realty, Home Gallery, Charles Henderson Child Health Center, Ken Cox Ford, Horn Beverage, and Powermaster.

“We had a broad section of the community participate,” Sauer said. “I am proud of how the community supported this event.”

Troy University’s sponsored team won the tournament. Members of the team were Marcus Paramore, Bart Barnes, John Schmidt, and Matt Tarey.

Jim Jackson won closest to the pin.
