Fredrick F. Walters, Sr.

Fredrick “Fred” Franklin Walters, Sr., age 77, of Troy, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Walters, will be Friday, July 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Minister Jessie Neal Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Veterans Memorial Garden with Green Hills Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

Mr. Walters retired after 32 years of dedicated Military Service including Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He was a member of Antioch Church of Christ. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Walters and Estelle Newman Walters; sister, Pauline Walters; brother, Henry Earl Walters; brother, Julius E. “Pete” Walters; sisters, Ruth Rhodes, Julia Bess Durden and Sable Spivey.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Walters; one son, Freddy Walters (Angela); two daughters, Cathy Pangallo (Phil), Pamela Walters; one brother, Joe Walters; one sister, Mary Ann Knighten (Robert); ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
